You would be suprised how many people have no idea about that stuff. okay, sometimes I forget that not everyone obsessively collected books on world mythology when they were small, just because me and ally did.

I want to see if I can do mythology as part of my degree, I love it (I get to do Arthurian myths next year, so that's a start). Em, you still have to read Angela Carter's book of fairytales - Inuit myths are weird...

I make that mistake too, like when I realized that I was the only one in my world religions class that knew that Rome burned, let alone who was the emperor when it happened!

I thought everyone knew Rome burned! But then I do have an unhealthy love of the Romans and Celts...

I only know in the vaguest sort of sence that Rome burned. I think I always assumed it was just to say how the Empire fell rather that actual rome burning.
My memory is too leaky to deal with historical facts, I have trouble remembering when and what major events happened in my own life let alone in the greater sence of the world.

maybe we should ask becky... ;D
Where is stu anyway? This is meant to be his meassage board and he spent ages badgering most of us to join it or does he think that as he is now back in Winslow that we don't matter anymore? (I don't know why those would be linked but I had to say something vaguely put-outish)

Stu obsesses about the messageboard, then forgets it exists, then remembers and obsesses about it again, then gets distracted by shiny paper...it's all part of the great circle of ego life.
