i vote Sylphia and Keti get it together at some point. just for a plot twist. Za?!! No, no, bad imagination, you will not be going there. No. Sit. Stay. Ahem. That would require a significant twist, and some rather major changes in character as well. Keti, for her part, has shown no interest in Sylphia. I highly doubt the idea even crossed her mind. And assuming Syl even knows what romance is, she just doesn't seem to be wired for it. She's too aloof. I suspect any concept of romance she has is so alien to what the other characters know that they wouldn't even recognize it.

*sprinkles some liquid chocolate and whipped cream over the Sylphia and Keti mental image.
Here, Wanderer's imagination! Here boy! Come and get it! *moves carefully out of the way*
Heh heh heh. I love being evil. =^-^=

a dirty mind is however a healthy one. i'm basing my absence from the boards on the fact cold weather tends to cause a drop in hormones ergo perverse thoughts. I am but a simple manifestation of Perversion. with the new year and all the naughty christmas presents people have opened up, i'm back.
anyhow... now add claudia and possibly flibbage in to that there mental image to "teach them" how to do it right and we have a full sexplosion going on. ;D

Meh. That does nothing for Wanderer's state of mind. He's a Sylphia fanboy, so adding extra girls just dilutes the experience. Now, we masters of perversion know that the best method of causing brainwarp is through a light initial application of mental imagery so that the brainwarper's imagination can fill in the details... and then adding extra little tidbits when they start leaving brainwarp to slam them back into the daydream.
But a simple amateur such as yourself would not know this, believing in the flawed philosophy that more is better. More is not better. It just drives people away from the meme.

hmm, or possibly taking things away will make it better for him then. slyphia + sweatty + her long delicate fingers...

And once again you overdo things. You need to create the barest outline that hints at the image so that their mental imaging takes over and brainwarp occurs. You toss out explicit imagery and then wonder why people smack you down with bakahammers and don't pay mind to your ideas.
Speaking of which, Em? Ally? He's all yours.
*steps aside as the bakahammers fall*

And in stepped a creatrix to deftly change the subject
(now Mal (and a little bit tangent)... you keep it subtle please, there are young sensitive ears listening at this forum)
NEW PAGE- this wraps up another chapter, only 2 left in the current story arc! Its getting pretty penultimate out there!

Oh! Two chapters left! At first I thought you meant two pages left in the chapter! My bad...
How is the plotting of the next story-arc going?
(BTW, I love how Keti's physical appearance itself changed now that Kaeti (fae-keti) has taken control. Most interesting... I wonder though if Kaeti has any knowledge of magic and the manipulation of reality. Without that knowledge, she's not quite the threat she could be.)
And why am I worried that some aspects of my old fanfic are starting to actually emerge? I mean, sure, Iordan never wooed Keti (or even just her human aspect), but having Keti's fae aspect seize control, along with the Sword? Eep?

subtlty has never been my strong point. i feel my lack of it stems from my favourite of dooms - Greed. to always want more... (le sigh) i may have to come up and visit ... oxxford? i briefly forget where the artists are located... so that they can be subjected to me minus the internet censors.

Only if I get to be there at the same time. With a big huge clown hammer. One of the squeaky inflatable kind that make funny noises whenever they impact on someone. =^-^=
And yes, Em, it was inevitable. I do find it odd and yet amusing that while the Fey like to consider themselves good and decent compared to humanity, it always seems to be the faerie aspect of them that turns evil when they get their hands on that Sword.
I don't think it's the fey aspect, however. I think it's the Sword. It is magic... and iron. The magical iron poisons the fey personality of the wielder; it's only in the case of mixed-fae that the Sword is able to actually corrupt quickly enough to cause significant harm.
Hmm. This makes me want to snag the Sword, shift it through time, and give it to a Fae somewhere and watch to see if a long-term exposure to the Sword would turn the Faerie evil. *evil smile* Now that would be an interesting story idea....
Edit: And can I find it amusing that I've commented enough times that I'm now a woman Pirate in the charts? ^^;;

How is the plotting of the next story-arc going? We're not telling ;D Except that it's a murder mystery, but there's no murder. YET. (Or ever, probably).

tangent; traditionally the fey love their mischeif, chaos is a major part of faerie lore, it's only the elves that feel they have to uphold a moral standard, the imps and the nymphs are well known for their naughtyness. mal, well we're planning to be stallholders at the next MCM expo in london so you can regale us with your lewd jokes then. We shall squeal and stick our fingers in our ears and sing 'tralala we can't hear you' though

They turn me right off towards a series. Somehow I suspect Beansprout's dark side would find Keti's rather laughable.

I have this uncontrollable urge to strike a cute pose and say "Hi-mi-tsu!" a la anime heroines now.
Thats japanese for "i't s a secret" or just "secret"... surely you've seen it right? it's like an anime heroine catchphrase.

Yes, I'm familiar with it. However, when I first got into Slayers, all that was available (at the bookstore where I bought them) was the dub VCR tapes. Thus I am far more familiar (and comfortable) with the dubs for Slayers than the subs, despite the fact I now possess the DVDs (had to replace them in fact because I loaned them out to a certain Florida-residing redhead who "trusted" a roommate to mail them back to me, via UPS... and they never arrived. I'm fairly certain they were never shipped, though I'm more suspecting of her so-called friends than the girl herself).
To be honest, I'm almost wishing they'd reboot the entire series at this juncture; from what I understand, the manga and light novels portray both Goury and Xellos somewhat differently; it's less humorous, however, and undoubtedly the anime makers are worried of turning off their existing audience. This is despite the fact that Xellos is my all-time favorite mischief-maker, and I consider him (as portrayed in the anime series) to have considerable charm. (For a while I used to have a Xellos avatar for my forum pics. Even used "Xellos" as a handle on the Homeworld forums; I moved to "Tangent" when my attempt to register Xellos on the Keenspot forums suffered a catastrophic failure that locked up the name despite no one owning it; I would almost suspect the anime Xellos to be behind it... somehow. It would be his style. ^^)
But please! We'd love to see a pic of you striking a cute pose while saying that catchphrase. =^-^=
