Ooh, can you send me the recipe? Every time I buy wheat-free bread or pasta or something, it tastes horrible (and oddly floury...)

its becoming the cookery thread! Okay, "wheat-free recipes that emily feeds her boyfriend with" my recipes don't usually have amounts because i dont have any scales and I guess.
meatballs mince an onion in your blender very finely, add in some mince (turkey or beef is good) an egg and a handful of oats, continue blending.
take table spoon sized amounts and shape into balls (put flour on your hands to stop you becoming horrible zombie makeup thing) and boil in saucepan of water for ten minutes. remove from water, baste with oil, then cook in oven for about half and hour till brown on outside.
Wheat free quiche double these measures to make a big quiche as this one comes out quite small...
4oz gluten free flour, (any flour is good except rice flour because it makes shit, rock-hard pastry) 2oz marg 2tbsp water Mix up to make pastry, and roll flat, put in dish. for filling: 1-2 eggs & 1/4 pint of milk. plus whatever the fuck you like putting in quiche, bacon, cheese, courgette, spinach, onions whatev. cook for 15 mins at 200c then 10 mins at 180c Till is a bit brown on top and does not make gooey mess when you stick fork in it...
pizza/bread dough 8oz (better get gluten free bread flour for this one) flour pinch of salt 6floz warm water 1 sachet yeast 1tbs oil leave to rise, then put on toppings or anything adn cook 20-30 mins gas mark 8/ 200c.
Watkins fruit cake very versatile for using up crap. 6oz any flour 6oz any fat 6oz any sugar 3 eggs beat and add 20oz of dried/fresh fruit and marmalade or jam and anything else you want rid of, bake slowly over 2 1/2 hours.
soda bread 1lb flour 1tsp salt 2tsp bicarb of soda 10oz marg 1/2 pint milk sieve flour salt and soda into bowl, rub in marg and add milk to form soft dough and knead on a surface. flatten into 7inch circle and divide into quarters. microwave on full power for 8 1/2 minutes

Most taco shells around here are made with corn. that wouldn't be a problem would it?

It would be nice if I knew how to cook. Part of me wonders if thats part of the reason that I haven't heard from ben, cause I can't cook that well and I told him. But then again, If knowing how to cook is a deal breaker for him, would I really want to be with someone like that?

But then again, If knowing how to cook is a deal breaker for him, would I really want to be with someone like that? Hell no! I know I wouldn't... Cooking ability should've stopped being a relationship requirement in the 1950s.

although i agree it shouldnt be a relationship requirement, it is important that someone can cook, even if only basically. living off ready meals is very unhealthy
