This strip is a couple of months old, but it makes me giggle nonetheless. I'll be sending it to my mum the next time she complains of computer troubles. >_>

WOOO!! Love it when my parents visit. ^_^ First because I love them and they are awesome. But also because of a certain bonus from having parents who keep several hundred pounds worth of cash in their BACK POCKETS!!!! (I'm serious, they just carry huge wads of cash) Mum can't resist buying me clothes like I'm her real life doll. (which I'm quite happy with) And Dad insists on trying to buy me EVERYTHING else. Special buy of this trip, drum roll please....................
A Blackberry in Purple ^_^ its so pretty

Awww dood!! Okay, for those who aren't aware one of the things Kingston is becoming known for is the mosaics both on buildings and on the footpaths. Anyway John Lewis is by the river and there's this band stand area with a curved wall by the riverside. So Lena, our social community liason, has hired the people who've been doing Kingstons mosaics to do one on that curved wall. This is gonna be a permenant feature. But the people she asked to design the picture the mosaic will be based on came back with something really crap. Seriously it looked like a toddler did it. So guess who the Steering Group asked to design it instead. ^_^ WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Well, they already know what they want pretty much. they want it kind of in three sections showing the river. With Hampton Court at one end, John Lewis in the middle and something else up the other end. So it's just a matter of figuring out how to do something that'll look good in Mosaic. Cos doing a detailed picture is fine, doing something that looks good tiled? Not so sure. May need some help with it. But I'll c how I get on. I'll be working on it in the evenings a little on holiday so I'd love to get any input you guys wanna offer. It's just so randomly out of the blue. And suddenly I'm designing something thats gonna be on the main riverside path forever, or rather as long as the building stands.....No pressure...lol

um if I have to do something that fits on a grid pattern (like I did some cross stitch designs last summer) I'll sketch it out first then transfer it onto grid paper to scale, then you can at least see how much detail will fit in.

Found on the Megatokyo forums:
The Litany against (TV) Tropes.
I must not follow links to tropes. Tropes are the time-killers. Tropes are the webpages that bring total obliteration. I will face my tropes. I will permit them to pass over me and through me. And when they have gone past I will turn the browser history to see their never ending links. Where the tropes have gone there will be nothing. Only the site I was on originally will remain.

With Tim getting into marvel comics with a passion that even impresses me I've been feeling the pull to not just comics but comic hero tv series. Which has prompted me to get back into Smallville. Having lost track of it somewhere around the start of season 3 and getting sick of the repetition and small time heroics I've been seeing more and more tv ads where it's getting all epic and cool looking with other heroes popping in like Green Arrow. So I have picked it up from season 6. (surprisingly easy considering I've missed 3 seasons) Gotta say I'm loving it. Plus green arrow? Yummmmmmy!! Blondes usually not my type but I think with him I can make an exception.

Yash just called me into the other room to show me a shot of Superman, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Cyborg and Impulse...all walking away from an explosion in slow-motion.
So, pretty much. Or at least Superman plus a bunch of worse characters.
