I dont think i know tim well enough to tell him to shut up and not feel mean about it. And anyway, if he's set on being the wittyest, telling him to shut up probably wouldnt make the slightest bit of difference

I didn't quite know where to put this post, but it concerns uni so it's here!
You know you've been doing theology too long when you're having a religious debate over the phone with your Dad about Messianic Jews and he says soemthing about the Good Samaritan which you know isn't in it, so you go to look it up and automatically know that it is only in Luke and it starts in chapter 10, verse 25.
Also, as I'm discussing my theology degree here, should I be worried by how enthusiastic my lecturer was about what i've decided to do my essay? It's for a representation of the holocaust module and I'm going to do it on the work of contemporary art known as the Lego concentration camp. How excited are you by this?
By the way, I'm not joking, that work of art does exist.

Possibly. I remember it being mentioned in one of our recent 'State, Society and Strategy' lectures, where Prof. Honig asked us all who had the first concentration camps, and everyone answered "British". I can't remember what he said after that, but the thing is that when Honig asks you a question with a seemingly obvious answer, it's usually because that answer's wrong... ¬_¬
We learn such fun things in those lectures. Like how genocide is the LOGICAL extension of normal war. The reasoning is there, and it works, but it's just sick.
I prefer the things that are slightly less sick, like how the guys running WW1 weren't actually idiots like everyone tends to think. "Didn't understand the power of machine guns blah blah bullshit". The ONLY mistake people made at the start of WW1 was underestimating the strength of their economies.
Dwell on that one, if you will. >_>

Seemingly unrelated - but this has happened at uni & i don't want to bother starting a new thread - we've finally found a new housemate to replace the evil old one who left us in the lurch! It's a spanish guy (with a name that's very hard to pronounce & even harder to spell so i'm not gonna attempt it) who's studying english at a nearby college!
