Hey guys while browsing through another forum i found out about an upcoming game called spore and it sounds great. You basically go from a small amoeba to intergalatic warfare and you get to control the evolution of your race. It's from the maker of SimCity and the Sims. Here are some links to previews: www.gamespy.com/articles/595/595975p1.htmlwww.1up.com/do/previewPage?cId=3138792&did=1If you can be bothered to read the articles, what do you think?

I don't mind if it's long. I just love the idea of being able to create any weird creature i can think of, and it takes concepts from various games i enjoy playing.

it could be cool if you really get that much control/ diversity in evolution, I mean, if there's only like five different races you could end up with, that'd be kindof lame. Otherwise, could be fun!

you do get that much control over what you can create as i watched a demo video of it. (i was pretending to be a company ;D ) You can also control the buildings and vehicles you create. Also if you have an internet connection all the things you create and the things created by others are uploaded to a database and shared so your world adds the things you need to create a balanced ecology and you can find other peoples creation on other worlds.
Also due to the fact that as a lot of the coding is procedural it is possible to fit 1000's of premade creatures on to the game disc so you don't require an internet connection. This procedural coding works out how everything moves and acts in ralation to certain things so there is no need to fill up the disc with animations for every possible event like it is for every other game.

Sorry becky. I never very good at explaining things to other people even tho they make perfect sense in my mind. I'll let someone else try and clarify what i said as i would probably confuse you more and add more things to the description making it even worse.

it kindof made sense to me, but not enough to simplify it.
