Its not a long term thing. The South beach thing is more long term. I hate the idea of having to give up food. No more mooshu pork, or cake or anything else!

And once you stop dieting, all the weight goes right back on...I can't be bothered with diet books any more, I just eat lots of protien and veg and that seems to work OK.

Wrong? No. Enjoy it before your metabolism gives out overnight in a few years time.
Apparently I weigh 10 stone now (I have no scales in my flat, only at home). This is probably because I've been eating a lot more breakfasts that consisted of chips/meat/etc. rather than just toast.
And yet I still look equally lanky.

is it wrong that i eat fried breakfast every morning and still weigh 9 stone? Yes but you burn it off in term time through stress i imagine, and in the holidays by running after the little brats at the holiday club

is it wrong that i eat fried breakfast every morning and still weigh 9 stone? No, just infuriating. Damn you high metabolic rate people, damn you all. My daily diet is yoghurt for breakfast, and salad for lunch and dinner - and I'm not telling ANYONE what I weigh. I swear if there was a drug (without nasty side effects) that would speed up my metabolism, I'd pay any amount of money for it.

and small amounts of coffee. Two cups will speed your metabolism up temporarily, more than that will encourage weight gain (i have no idea about the science behind this but its in my lecture notes so i'll believe it)
