I see it as silly to try to cling onto nostalgia by avoiding those things you feel it for.
If you still enjoy it you've lost nothing. If you don't then you've purged a weaker part of yourself and grown as a person. You win either way.

I dunno- rewatching usually ruins awesome nostalgia. Best left alone I feel- rewatching EVA would only fill with a) Asuka hatred b)religious imagery hatred c)Gendo AWESOMENESS. aw, really? you hate asuka? the first of these was just recently released in english, and i watched it. pretty cool, really. i especially liked the changes they made to the big trapezoid angel that drills into the geo-front. it was too cool.

She's so NOISY.
I can avoid things I feel nsotalgic about- I don't feel it makes me weak. the things I enjoyed 10 years ago are not the same things I enjoy now? Why ruin them for the sake of ruining them?

That gives me the mental image of a guy hugging a car saying "Oh yeah, I want you so badly... and you're so affordably priced..." =^-^=

The boys bought football stickers, and an album to put them in. I wanted a pokemon album so I could play

Ah. It was sports (baseball/football) cards with my lot, but only because the marketers hadn't yet thought up of using stickers for a method of increasing sales. ^^;; Shame they wouldn't let you play along with pokemon. ^^

More like I doubt Pokemon sticker albums still get made...or at least, not well circulated.

Football is the game where you dont pick up the ball. Your game should be pick up run ball or purball.

Stu, don't bitch about something our readers may very likely hold dear, it's not good for business.

To be honest, neither do I.
However... ^^
It is "Football" because it is a game played on the feet, and fancy footwork is needed to get the ball to the endzone. No, that fancy game YOU all call "football" is more properly called "kickball" and is the sort of thing played in elementary school phys ed programs. =^-^=
(Please note, I am an equal opportunity disliker of professional sports, so I'm being tongue-in-cheek here. But I enjoy razzing people from time to time so...)

where do you think they came up with soccer, then? the first thing you think of is 'socks' which isn't really relevant to the sport (unless you count being concerned about athlete's foot) and what about rugby? there are no rugs involved.
