i know i'm gonna get reamed for asking this question, especially by tim and emily. but i just thought i'd lower the tone a bit. and similtaniously as a saliant question. Plus i recently learned that the only reason we have modern cinema is because of the early 20th century porn industry. In fact the same is partially true of the modern anime industry. So i'd like to ask if people agree that it is a legitimate artform, before you slate it look at some.

For some people it is just porn. I don't want to name any names so I'll just say Tom W. No, that's too obvious. T Watson.

We've had this discussion on the platform of Kidderminster train station (probably to the detriment of a couple of middle aged business types in earshot) so you should know what I think.
Actually I believe the discussion was technically about fan service, but since I thought that was pointless and unnessecary you can probably extrapolate my opinion of hentai.
One of these days I'm actually going to meet someone who lives and breathes for fan service, and I'm going to fall to my knees in despair...before stabbing him in the stomach.

He was a fan service obsessive? I thought he was just an attention-seeking idiot who repeatedly made threads for "anime quizzes" where only HE was allowed to ask the questions, despite the fact that most of his answers were incorrect. And if you pointed out his inaccuracies he'd pretend he had evidence but then never produce it.
Oh wait...the Shinobu signiture, right.
I hate animegalleries people. >_<
...Well, some of them. ¬_¬
