Stu said he was close to having 100 topics on this board the other day & i looked to see there were 99, so I thought I'd make him happy & add the 100th. However it also makes me happy cos I get to put it on! ;D
Anyway, need to actually give you a topic don't I? How about this: Who remembers the kid's programme "The Trap Door"? It was a late '80s show with plasticine things which moved a bit like Morph & one blob was called Berk & he did tasks for the[glow=red,2,300]Thing[/glow]which lived under the trap door. If the trap door was ever left open creepy crawly things came out & terrorised Berk & his friends (a spider & a disembodied skull). Remember now?

Why in Gods name did you have to bring that up as the 100th topic i hate that show it scares the living shit out of me. Anything associated with that scares me in a way that only being scared as a child can be. Its bloody terrifying!!!

I brought it up cos I bought a poster of it that I found at my guild's poster sale the other day. We were only little when it came out so it was scary at the time, but not now. Though you're still a child at heart so maybe ...

I saw an episode of that show relatively recently. I must have been flicking through late-night/early-morning Sky Digital at either Stuart's or Becky's house. Anyway, like most old 80s kids' shows - I remember it, but I don't remember it sucking as much as I now see it does. Same for Button Moon.
Danger Mouse and Thundercats do however, as contemporary commercial T-shirt makers have picked up, rock immensely. Also the original 1980s Inspector Gadget cartoon. Puts the new ones and the films to shame.
There, I've changed the nature of the thread from The Trap Door to a whole range of nostalgia. Better Stu?
*ignores the fact that this thread now technically belongs in the TV and Film forum*

Actually I wasn't going to move it out of laziness, but now I shall.
The website rocks so immensely...I get the impression that at some point in a kind of mid-life crisis (if not before) I'll just end up buying loads of them. Although how the first two series of Thomas the Tank Engine can't be on DVD is beyond me. ¬_¬

It's the bestest website ever isn't it? You have to listen to the full length raccoon theme tune - it's soooooooooooooooooo great!

Actually I saw some Button Moon relatively recently and it sucked horrendously.
Blasted reality destroying my nostalgia again. >_<

Aw dear. You'll have to watch it as if you are still little, then you won't notice the obvious flaws in it.

Knightmare is one of my favourite shows ever. It was fantastic. So was Crystal Maze. They don't make them like that anymore, people are too lazy to take part.

what the friggin hell are you lot chatting about??? now i may be only one but i have never heard of 'The trap door' or 'button moon'.... don't worry helen..we obviously lived on a different planet than the the ppl who have seen 'The Trap Door' and 'Button Moon' when we were little cos i've never heard of them either (which if u think about it was more than likely as we are twins and so watched the exact same things when we were little..altho we hardly watched tv when we were really small cos we played with each other). Not in the sick way by the way just in case u ppl were thinking that! namely stu and mindy! sick children..!

its not our fault nething that can be taken the wrong way always is when u say it. Its just something about the way you say it that makes it much more perverse than usual.
