Need more 1980's in your life? Like a LOT more? Then where were you a few months ago? Where was I? I keep missing the bus on some of this stuff.

Kew I also had easter ham! Yuuuuuuuuuuum
also 80s movie... well it looks kind of awesome, but part of what makes 80s movies so cool is that they were made in the 80s... i'm not so sure if you can retoractively make one...

It turns out there is a Comic-Con in my state next weekend. I didn't even know there was a Comic-Con anywhere near here. I expect it to be a pale imitation of whatever the San Diego Comic-Con is like, but I guess I'll find out. Or not since I've never actually been to a convention of this sort to have any point of reference.

Just got home from the last day of my local expo, they're always fun. My budget was insanely small this year (I kept it under 50 bucks including food!) because I am entirely broke. Still, I networked with some webcomic guys and some bigger names in the comic industry. In a year or two I think I'll be ready to have my own table.

That con was kind of "meh" as expected. I don't watch enough TV and certainly not enough Dr. Who to fully appreciate that convention.
Also why is it that when I see "Stories from around the web" on any site it's just a bunch of "news" I didn't really want to know about celebrities I don't know or don't care about?

because celebrity is the opiate of the masses?

I've never gone to a con partly because I get the feeling I'd get bored there, not knowing much what to do. I'm bad at sharing my nerd-dom. In crowded places, at least. I should try at least, but my con-goer friend happens to be a yaoi fangirl. I think I don't really wanna intrude in her universe. Ummmh, now I think of it I think I have some more con goer friend... still, the other reason is I don't have all that much free time lately.
Speaking of that! Hey! How are you guys doing? I just emerged from a month of madness. It's the first time where school and things to do are eating my life this badly. I had to do two exams on the same day :C . Now I think things will be kinda normal for a few weeks till next exam rounds. I read Howl's moving castle, too in these last few days which were slightly less busy. It was a really cute book.

I am closing in on the end of a quarter and I have 3 presentations to put together, each with its own set of challenges. Also, papers that need to be written.
Also, a very promising job lead fizzled into nothing. I may get another chance at it next year, but I don't think I can wait around that long for a job, so I'm not pleased about that whole situation. I hate job hunting.

So, I found out my new kitty (the girl that came down from the roofs)apparently has a bullet stuck under her ribs (we had to take some X rays to see her lungs and it appeared there)?! One of those small lead ones. Poor thing! She's like that mysterious character with an obvious dark past that you can't wait to know. Except she's a cat and won't ever talk about it. So annoying!

WE'LL NEVER KNOW!!! Unless she's also a talking cat. Whcih wouldn't surprise me that much at this point. But she hasn't revealed that yet. OMG, guys, I might be in danger D:! Fugitive cats come to me! And then they bite me. I might turn vampire cat now... That must be something like some kind of recharged cat lady.

Oh noooo Soff, I'm sorry your kitties are hurt and are hurting you D:
My parents' doggie has a dark and mysterious past. When we first got him, we knew that he'd been owned by a retired guy who had to give him up, and that he'd had another, probably-less-caring owner before that. The rescue hadn't been able to tell us anything more than that. But then, one time we took him to a dog sitter when we went on vacation, and she recognized him! The dog sitter turned out to be the person who told the rescue about him and helped get him away from his first owner. Turns out he used to be named Rascal (he's Ben now, and we never call him Rascal because it would upset him), and lived outdoors in a guy's yard where he wasn't very well cared for.

Buuuh, poor guy! Good thing your parents got him . Oh, she isn't that bad. She used to bite real hard, but she's become A LOT tamer since she came home. Not in the sense of sick cat can't move. She plays a lot and eats like a little monster (a little bit too much, since she steals from the other cats if they leave anything), and still bites if I annoy her, but she's learned to do it without hurting. She's actually a sweetie. She loves to be petted and will come and sit on you pretty often. But she still is a rebel. Oh, I know I'm being a happy dumb cat owner. It's been a while since we've had a young cat home! My babies are still amazing, though. The older one, that always liked to play, seems to be happy to have a new companion.

So I was watching Attack on Titan last night. English dubs yeah whatever. I hate reading subtitles all the time. Trying to read quick enough to keep up with what's going on ruins stuff for me so this is what it comes down to for me when I want to see what all the noise was about.
Regardless, have you ever half-jokingly predicted a crazy plot-twist in something and then felt disappointed when it actually happened because you felt like you spoiled it for yourself somehow?

I'm always trying to come up with how to solve stories as I watch them... So yeah. I always I have this thing going on where I half really want something to happen because I predicted it, and half really don't want it to happen because I already thought of it. Generally how disappointed I am at it is proportional with how lame I think it is, though. I like to be surprised, but I don't like to be surprised by sudden "they got creative" in ways that really don't make sense within the story (ehemmasseffectehem!), for example. I'd much rather have a traditional, even if easily predictable, ending.

Bluh. I get too much free time and quickly get distracted and forget that the internet is still a thing that exists despite being online constantly. GRIZZLY the monk and ADAMS the gray mage are too busy trying to collect the ultima crystals. Which is to say Last Dream is a great game for fans of the older Final Fantasy games. They had me at "Use this option to remove members from your party."

Hehehe, it's good to indulge in some fun after a working hard during the school year. I finished my semester on wednesday... the same day I got a rather bad sore throat. It decided not to go away on its own so I finally went to the doctor today :C . I'm on antibiotics now. I hope it'll stop soon. I just want to swallow food without having to do a titanic effort!
