it's the final countdown dananaaaaana dana-na-na-na!
And we begin with a giant face, within which a smaller face is contained. Make of it what you will.

She looks pretty happy for someone who has something in her eye.

First page of real content. So now you know what's become of The Canid-Quarter and the Human-Half... they're in the brain basement. The strings attached to them are a visual metaphor for the fact their powers are being used by Kaeti without their permission, but it's not ever pointed out so i thought I'd lay it out there.

I kind of figured that was what the lines meant - that in a sense, they are puppets and no longer in control.
Kaeti definitely needs a slapdown. And I have to wonder... does Keti and her Canid Quarter have to find a way to merge in order to stand a chance against Kaeti and the Sword of Slayskull?
Can the strings be climbed? (Can each climb the other's strings to escape together?)
The color of the walls helps create a sense of... Other to the walls. Suggesting they are more powerful as a result than just plain walls would be. (The television monitor so they can watch their friends/pack mates be cut down is just adding injury to insult!)
Beautifully done, btw, Emily. *applauds*

If you multiplied my crazy by ally's crazy and squared the result... it still wouldn't be as crazy as Keti.
On a side note, I was re-reading chapters 1-6 last night, sussing out my learning curve, and boy did you and me do a kick ass job of foreshadowing. there is SO much stuff in there that I could have sworn we ad-libbed but obviously we had it all planned. When this chapter finishes I think we should have a joint re-read and review of the whole damn thing here on the forum, just for kicks.
*fistbumps Ally* best dudes forever! we rocked out!

Big hammer. It needs to have directions that read: "Direct pointy bits toward enemy".
It could be an irony hammer.

Irony hammers are made out of hammer and don't have pointy bits. They have flat bits.
The better for driving the point home with, you know. =^-^=

I love a villainess that doesn't monologue. And even better, who starts talking while closing... so to lure people into a false sense of security that she's about to monologue. =^-^=
Kaeti is truly a wonderful villainess. I wonder if we can somehow separate her from Keti so that we can keep both. ^^;;

But Keti won't be who she is *without* Kaeti... she'd only be 75%...

Perhaps I should rephrase. I wonder if there's a way of creating a copy of Kaeti so that we can have a whole Keti and our villainous Kaeti existing at the same time. =^-^=
*pulls out a cardboard box with "Transmogrifier* written on the side*
This calls for some experimentation. Now where'd the cat get to... Shroedinger! Come here, kitty!

I have to wonder if we'll see a School Play put on in Footloose after this Season is over, or if the events in Cherry so traumatized Flib that she decided "never again" ^^;;

Perhaps we'll find out, but trauma seems like a safe bet. Maybe it rhymes with drama for a reason?

Oh right. That's one of those regionalized accent things. Well I guess it's a good thing I'm not acting or there really would be trauma if only from all my mispronunciations.
