Uh oh, Sparkle is doing her look of evil again.

Huh. Coincidence city for anyone who reads Dumbing of Age today. How do such similarities happen in totally different comics on the same day like that? Regarding the comic: "Huh?" Indeed. I'm sensing rough seas ahead even without having to see the Sparkle-Storm looming in the distance.

Through Sychronicity! which just today me and Ally decided is our mutant superpower and explains why I can predict songs on the radio with unpredicatble accuracy and whatever tv show she references in her thesis gets rerun on tv within a week! our powers even extend to the webcomic world!

Just when I start feeling bad for the stuff Sparkle goes through and her subsequent abandonment by the Plot... I see she does something like this in the past. Makes me want to fanfic something humiliating for her... ^^;;

Heehee! We so need a picture of you on Facebook with your hand outreached, standing on your chair, going "Hark!" =^-^=
For bonus points we could have both you and Ally doing this at the same time on chairs right next to each other. ^^

if we were right next to each other we'd hold hands and go "I'll never let go!" ... then let go XD

02_15- don't worry some actual plot development happens next, we're done making play rehersal jokes for now. I love when I get to draw Liame... she is comedy gold by the mere fact of her existence.
and this week's page made me notice something... when does An laugh? Always at someone elses expense... think about it; Chapter 1: she gleefully witholds from Keti what the ordeal will actually entail- chapter 5: She mocks Dan about hanging round the mens changing rooms (later reprised when she spies on him bathing in the river) and now this. You can take the girl away from the EC but you can't take the pirate out of the girl.

I actually enjoyed the update. Sometimes you need a little bit of silliness to break the more dramatic aspects of the story... especially given the nature of the middle of Steve's story (and Sparkle's role in it). No doubt when we see the Redemption of Steve we'll have a few moments of drama to counteract the silliness of Jin. =^-^=

02_16.... what actually matters on this page: Kirsch is back! What people are probably going to talk about: Why Fructose and Claire want to talk to sparkle. Secret Answer: They just learned Caramel Dansen and feel the need to share ¬_¬.

Caramel Dansen! ^_^
I was wondering when we'd see Kirsch again. Cool that he can invade Fae Space. Interesting that the Fae can't see it, though I suppose it makes sense....

No, not caramel dansen ^_^- never caramel dansen ^_^... the best we can muster is caramel dansen -_- ... maybe ¬_¬ if we have a snide comment to make, unless you are a teenage girl, in which case take your caramel dansen and your nyan cat and go over in the corner and be quiet because there isn't any stopping you.

I just find it amusing because I was unaware of the meme when it was hot. Literally I saw a group of fangirls at ConnectiCon 2008 (I think) who were doing the dansen dancing to the music and I was wondering WTF is with all this hand-waving and gyrating? (What's worse was the girls were all young teens, so I couldn't even enjoy the sight of girls dancing around having fun. Though I tend to enjoy cons for the costumes these days rather than girl-watching so to avoid feeling like a dirty old man. ^^;; Ah well...)

I'm pretty sure Kirsch is tied to the wand in a way, so he's probably not invading so much as he's an additional guest along with Steve.
RE: caramel dancen...never understood that one. Well, I don't understand most such things, but I'm pretty sure that's the point.

He seems testy. I guess his bishi-loving fanbase aren't big buyers of merchandise. (I wonder, was he the sole magical companion for all of Cherry's now-late not-quite-team mates? Does he have the ability to restore the broken wands and renew that line of magical girls, or is Cherry the last of that crew forever?)

02_18. just occaisionally we like to hint at larger socio-economic problems that might be faced when a vaguely benevolent dictatorship realm of magic users and a mortal realm full of folks who thought they were top of the food chain are forced to coexist.

Nevermind the fact that this was an agreement reached by the Dictatorship of the Shrub on Earth to remove its own magical nuisances. =^-^=
But it does explain why Faery is considered an Enemy of Humanity.

To be honest, I didn't expect to learn this group wasn't wanted by ANYONE. Given the ineptitude that the Flower Girls showed in fighting Codexx (I mean, Steve was untrained and defeated her, while these girls had their abilities for longer and yet fell one by one), I figured inexperienced magical girl deaths were commonplace.
(Though I must admit, I'd love to see a one-shot bit with Steve and Yuuki from the Magical Valkyrie Yuuki (or whatever it's called) comic, just to see Yuuki freak when s/he learns "I could have stayed a GUY?!? Great.")
And while Sparkle might not be the nicest of people... she seems to possess a modicum of talent.
*ponders*
If men can't do magic in the real world, then how did Steve get transformed when he took a hold of the Wand? I think maybe Flib knows less about magical girl physics than she lets on... which could also explain why she's allowing the inept crowd to be trained in her dojo. She's not looking for them to become experienced. She's looking to discover the basics behind magical girl physics.
