It's difficult getting a glassy efect with greyscale. Still, you did manage to create a sense of... Other with the golem.

ah hell. After watching that? I'm going to ship Dan, An, AND Keti! Watching Dan and An double-team yelling at Keti is too amusing! =^-^=
Nifty glass golem, Em! You did yourself proud there, girl. =^-^=

09_14.... oh Keti, your protagonist induced rages are going to get everyone in trouble! Judging from the description of The Watch, more like they're going to get everyone KILLED.

Wouldn't you be, if your weapon of choice was a giant mallet? (Not that he has it any more, but the habit is there)

Yeah ... in between this page and the next page... you have to assume they go shopping or conjured up stuff they need because everything they own got swept down river.

that ALSO happened in between this page and the next. An army marches on it's stomach.
there is actually a scene here that went to the cutting room floor where An goes and intimidates a wizard into giving back magical items that the watch confiscated when she was arrested. But it was 5 pages long and acheived nothing but making a joke about Harry Potter, and screwing up a punchline that An uses later, so we cut it in the editing phase. Like the "McCirce's (it's people!!!)" scene, there are some bits that get drunkenly scribbled out by Ally n' me if they take up too many pages and don't have a point plotwise. i suppose it always leaves us with the option of doing the DELETED SCENES LOL! later.

Sometime it would probably be amusing to see rough sketches of "blooper" scenes that happened while filming of the comic took place. =^-^=

09_16 I'm particulary pleased with that opening panel. This page was drawn by hand. I've developed an eye condition which is definitely not helped by drawing on the cintiq so i'm trying to cut back on it's usage a little bit so i don't end up crosseyed.

First panel really drives in the R'lyeh feel of Emerald City. Seriously, one look at that skyline and I could tell you this is a bad place to be.
As for being "so predictable..." Really, Iordan? You're that easy to fool? They know you're coming, and YOU know they know you're coming, yet it doesn't surprise you to find the ship effectively unguarded, everyone on deck seeming to be asleep, with no precautions against intruders or sabotage? Really? Do you need the word "TRAP!" spelled out in 10 ft tall letters in a blazing neon sign hanging from the rigging before you figure it out?

They're being typical heroes at that. I swear, the characters I deal with would knock out the pirates even if they were asleep. Though considering one's a telepath/telekinetic who's been harassing drug dealers since she was 17 (being 33 at the time of the story I'm writing) and the others are vigilantes who go after street gangs... yeah. Definitely knock out the sleeping guards. Just in case.

Me and Ally came up with the BEST alternative ending for this chapter the other day. I can't tell you what it is right now because then you'd know what's NOT going to happen ... but it would have fried all your brains and you'd hate us forever.
