Yay. :-p
I have to wonder whether the Mecha students themselves use the word 'useless' in the name of their dojo. 'Ultimate', maybe...

I could see you letting a James Bond-type think he's seducing you, while luring him into a moment of vulnerability where you can humiliate him and leave him wondering just what the heck happened just before the boom hits. =^-^=

lol, M3H is so mean to Jimmy. It's so terrible, yet so hilarious. You know, even though it wasn't really Jimmy piloting the suit, I'd say Jimmy has elevated himself from useless status. It's not like M3H will suit up anyone else, so it's kind of backwards; Jimmy's the tool and M3H is the user.

The question on my lips is Why, M3H? It's not like he has an Asimov style positronic brain that forces him to protect humans, and his apathy modulated evil personality doesn't really give him any reason to protect his team... so why deflect the cannonballs? Self preservation, or does he secretly have a soft spot for his human partner and his friends?

That is a good question, though I kinda thought it was M3H's effort to assert his superiority and dominance over Jimmy, or you know, show off.

I would suggest that M3H finds Jimmy's torment all the easier to enjoy whilst Jin is kept alive for him to fawn over.

Perhaps there is one small part in M3h's matrix that doesn't like being considered "useless." While he detests his "master" and doesn't particularly like the others, by occasionally being "badass" he can start nibbling away at the "useless" moniker while also having a captive audience to be snarky toward.

page 09_10... that last panel is one seriously involved pencil sketch, I spent DAYS on it. wanted the EC to look simultaneously Organic, beautiful and dilapidated. I'm a bit annoyed about the BG colour, it's supposed to merge seamlessly with the website colour but it's just a degree off... must be something to do with the JPEG format because the hexadecimal code is perfect....

Blends perfectly for me... Anyway. Welcome to Emerald City. Residents: Cthulu pirates. Really, that's the creepiest looking Emerald City I've ever seen. Definitely organic, which is a new look for the place. Definitely dilapidated, although that's happened before. Beautiful... well, stylistically, perhaps. Lots of little details and stairways and spires and stuff. But I think the dilapidated kind of takes away from the beautiful, at least for me. It also doesn't help that I wouldn't want to set foot in the place, for fear that it would eat me. Yes, the city. It looks like it eats people.

I'm glad that the colour works for everyone else... I had some trouble a while ago with how my browser interprets JPEG colour so it may still be slightly miscalibrated.
