i think the fact that you included ripped pants right from the off earns an instant veto from both tim and myself

I don't care I want to start it. And so what if his pants are ripped. So, none of your character have ever damaged their clothing before? besides its like I'm going in a pervy direction with this.

I suppose that can be lived with. Ideally you should end on a cliffhanger, it makes it easier for the next person to pick up. technically not much has happened yet except some boy ripping his pants and 'typical feisty girl is feisty'.
@stu, Don't be a div, anything you started with would be at least as cliche just in a different direction.

also you have kind of created all the characters right from the word go so no-one else really can put a mark on it. I was trying to leave as much open for other people as much as possible

I concur with Em that relatively little has actually been 'setup' if you read it, and in that sense it's fine. It'll be completely in some other random direction within 3 or 4 other chapters anyway (as is always the case).
So how about we do the following:
1) I get Yasha's opening put up in a new thread, which will be the story thread. The thread will be locked aside from the posting of new chapters (Stu, Em and I all have mod powers to lock/unlock threads anyway), so that the story doesn't get lost amidst random conversing. Said random conversing can continue in this thread.
2) I'm happy to go next, unless either of you two would really like to. Whether we keep a fixed order or continuously rotate is something we can decide upon as we go, probably.

I hardly think 4 characters counts as "all the characters" two main characters and two incidental people that anything might happen to at any second. In fact yash might be setting these for up for a huge bloodbath in which only the the unfortunate Midge is the survivor. Idon't think you should be so quick to judge it because I actually thought it was quite a good start, and had already thought of about 12 different things that could happen.
+ what tim said. or could do it by email, better decide on an order to take turns in.

Ach, you go third then, i'll be last and pick up the story once it's started- since I'm best at conversation rather than action.

"since I'm best at conversation rather than action."
Aren't we all. ¬_¬
...Except Yash, or so she says.
We'll stick with that order for now, then we can always mix it up at some point in the future.

Tomorrow, certainly. I intend to be asleep within 45 minutes and can't necessarily promise I'll have it all by then.

Okay so if I think about it, mine and Ally's rules were probably 1) No preplanning 2) no retconning (for anyone that doesn't know, that means trying to change previous chapters to suit what you want to do in the present- you have to build on the existing story) 3) it's ready when it's ready, because people have lives to lead.

Seems good.
I'll try to get a cliff hanger in this one. :-p

Well, what do you know. I stayed up longer than I thought. >_>
Objective 1: explain stuff without resolving to were-creatures - check.
Objective 2: provide a generic cliff-hanger for someone to do something with - check.
I don't really like Yasha's insertion of blatant Me and Her characters, but I suppose I have to live with it for the moment at least.
Sooner or later we'll get to the point where the story will actually have some kind of semi-formed direction to it, which will allow me to properly get into the groove of creating great streams of bickering and silliness that serve no purpose. It's what I do best. :-p
