*edges away from Nayru* oh dear... that's like bringing up the Hair Color Theory over in the CRfH forums. ^^;; Word of Goddesses is that Keti and Daniel are not Inevitable. eh? have i done something wrong? in any case, i wasn't trying to insinuate that keti and daniel were inevitable, i was just merely pointing out the possibility, since it tends to get ignored (from what i've seen) in our little forum chats. besides, you have your favorites and i'll have mine and as for an emily/ally/bottle of booze triangle... that's just awesome, heehee ;D

Don't worry, Naryu, you haven't done anything wrong And who knows what'll happen in the future of Footloose? Not us, even.

To be honest, working off of various tropes for both anime and literature, it would appear that a Daniel/Keti romantic relationship is viable. First, we have some foehay going on there with these two arguing who's on top (in a sociological sense - dominance arguments), and there's a long-running tradition of "foes" ending up together. Second, Daniel is the First Guy, if you discount An as a romantic partner for Keti (though again, there is the fact that Daniel is the First Guy... for An). Third... he's a half-were, and Keti's dad is half-were... tradition often suggests that children are attracted to people with similarity to their parents, to which Daniel is a decent proxy for Yak.
No doubt this is why Stu called them "inevitable." I'm holding out for someone else, however, because there are three major roadblocks to a Keti/Daniel relationship. First, Beansprout would kill Daniel. Or at the very least, severely maim him. ^^;; Second, Daniel has shown no real attraction to Keti, while he's gotten quite flustered by the First Girl An (generic inertia which may overcome the Plot's interest in Keti). Third, it does seem entirely too pat and easy, and I suspect that Ally and Em would be resistant unless Keti started bugging them and going on with "but I loooove him! Please, Creatrixes! I promise I'll protect him from my mom! Pleeeaaase?" ^^ (Okay, a fourth here which is related to point two is that Keti has a lot more of a "sibling" vibe going here; the two of them together would be like me and my best female friend who I jokingly call my "soulsib" - not that I'm not strongly attracted to her, mind you, but she's a tall buxom brunette with reddish highlights in her hair; that's like the best of candy for me! I mean, brunette and redhead combined? Mmmm... ^^)

I so would love to see how you write her ending up with Tangent, seeing that that's me. ^^ (Hey, at least my fictional counterparts would have a chance with someone...)

The truly amusing bit is that it's not even a secret. My sig file says "Robert A. Howard" and a link to my review site. ^^ And sorry Ally, but you said it and it was linked to me! *rubs hands together* I always wanted to date a cute fictional character...

Shame? What's shame? =^-^=
Besides. I've seen the drawings of older Keti (who is quite cute!). It's just a matter of finding the right moment in the intertexuality to chase after a Keti who's not young enough that it would be creepy. ^^;;

New page... to which i may apply the title "how self-involved are teenagers amirite?" In which Keti selfishly pretends to be unconscious to avoid awkwardness, Iordan insists on carrying her around in order to support his one sided crush, and Daniel throws a strop because he's obsessed with protecting his pack.

Oh, it's not just teenagers. Though the question is this: did Keti actually pass out? And how long was she out for?
I hope she actually talks to Iorden. Oddly enough, he seems to be fairly good for her when it comes to when she's in mental anguish... initially with the An/Daniel fight... and maybe now with how she behaved toward An, her feelings and confusion about An, her fears of insanity, and maybe even how she feels humiliated over how inept she feels.
Though I am curious when Iorden is going to confess to Keti on his own feelings toward her. Probably not for a bit. ^^

Though I am curious when Iorden is going to confess to Keti on his own feelings toward her. Probably not for a bit. ^^ Maybe never. Keti has shown no interest, and I don't think Iordan is the type to throw himself at her when she doesn't seem interested, especially since that could interfere with a perfectly decent friendship. He is probably the best choice. I'm not sure Sylphia would really understand human emotions, and I am pretty sure her advice would be cryptic and not immediately helpful. An is part of the problem, and Daniel is both too much of a big brother and too much of a werewolf to really understand Keti's issues and give helpful advice. So... yeah. Overprotective Daniel is overprotective. I can understand his basic concern: an unauthorized male is carrying an unconscious "family" member into a bedroom. Had he phrased that a little differently and worn a different expression it could have been taken as a legitimate "she's like a sister to me, so it's better for me to take her than you" type thing. But as it is now he just comes off as overprotective instead. I think so. Getting trapped by the fourth wall seems like a legitimate thing to break her brain a little. Does she remember it, I wonder, or did the knowledge of generics vanish from her mind like it tends to with mortals?

Well, that's the question: how mortal is Keti? Do half-fae (or quarter-fae) have an extended lifespan? Are they immortal like fae? And how much of Keti's problems with generics is due to genetics and how much is due to an upbringing which involved avoiding any knowledge of generics at all?
