I don't know about any kind of "Britishism", as we use the word in both the context of "available" and "for no money". I presumed it meant the former in this case. Why would any inn have rooms for no money?? Let alone a deluxe version of said rooms!

It may also be word order here. "Free rooms" is suggestive of "not paying for the room." "Rooms free" is suggestive of "rooms available." At least, that's how I see it.

Thus you can see my confusion. If An meant free as in "available" then that's fine. I just interpreted it the other way when I first read it.

An could also (assuming it's available rooms) ask for "five rooms" instead of "5 free rooms." It would be fairly obvious what they mean in that case... the "free" is assumed in the speech.

Heh. Sorry, luv. American minds are cheap. We always look for the best deals. =^-^= So we see "free" and think "Oh, we don't have to pay!" (And seeing the rooms are... rat-infested, well, that suggests low quality. You pay for what you get. ^^)

Wording's been changed, all our worries are over. Thanks Emily! Now back to discussing things that don't get the creatrices irritated at us.

I must admit, I'd have had Syl in Keti's room. She passed out after having the Fourth Wall revealed to her... it would be better to keep an eye on her to make sure she's okay when she wakes. Especially after last time... though undoubtedly Keti's friends are doing their best to pretend nothing happened and that a dunk in cold water was a cure-all.

There were three keys visible in each image. The thing is, each image shows a different grouping of keys, so there's probably five available rooms.

You guys pay FAR too much attention to stuff. It's admirable, but a little scary ;D

I would hesitate to deem it 'admirable'...

*facedesk* I drew an entirely random large number of keys on that board so that it would look more natural and there's a speech bubble and a head covering the board in BOTH panels. *sigh*

In my defense, I'm a critic. I'm supposed to look for the small things. ^^;;
The rest are ascended fanboys and fangirls. Or fellow cartoonists. So they notice things. =^-^=

If you don't all behave we'll start putting in Biblical references and imagery, and before you know it you'll have come up with The Footloose Code ;D

i don't get where people have worked out theres only three rooms available instead of five? Wait... who... what? If there weren't five rooms the woman would have said something. I just think leaving Keti alone is a bad idea, so one of the girls should share a room with her. Preferably Sylphia, because right now I don't think An and Keti can even look at each other without being majorly embarrassed. ...Tangent...

Very true. I wasn't exactly debating the number of rooms myself; while I misread the initial bit (I skimmed the dialogue unfortunately, which I have a tendency of doing when reading a hundred comics in a day ^^;; ) I did realize there were more than enough rooms just by the fact that a different group of keys were visible with each panel.
My comments about rooming arrangements is mostly personal quirks. I'm paranoid. Thus I'd have aerial reconnaissance when crossing the bridge earlier, and have assigned someone with Keti just because she'd freaked out earlier and I'd want to make sure she was okay. But then again, I speak of someone with a wider knowledge of tropes and plot than the characters in the comic, and also as someone looking in from outside. As a member of the cast... well, I'm still paranoid and would have aerial support during the bridge incident. =^-^=
