Sounds like success. Well, so far. Success is a sort of moving target if you're trying to run a business.

Yay, great, Fuin! So you're almost done with all the preparing the shop, now? I had no idea it was so hard to open your own shop...

No... Lol not almost done. I can now begin preparing the shop for business. Up until this point it was a waste of money to begin trying for any 'construction' or 'occupancy' permits if they said no it would be hundreds more dollars down the tubes if I had applied for those. Those I start on tomorrow now.
If I can get those in the next week... I will be able to likely have my shop fixed up (have to build 4 rooms in total and plumb them all and run lights/electricity to them all)
FOrtunately the construction part is easy as is the electricity and the lights because we have several electrician friends (commercial needs to be done by a professional even if you know how to do it to code) the plumbing will be the hardest.
But I'm sure we can figure that out as well.
As I said this is a success because at this point they can not make me go back to full stop. There could be a bit of slogging but truth be told I think they just want someone in the building again.

Yay! I never would have realized that starting a business like this was so complicated. I'm that things are working better for you now.

Life's all about swinging like bipolar polar bears, these days. Grats.

Bipolar bears?! (I feel silly for not realizing it was a pun until I'd done an image search...) Also, I leveled up today.

Was your health and energy restored? Did you gain minor increases to your statistics? Is there cake? Happy Birthday in any case.

Energy was restored, but it seems like my mp (motivation points) is still almost as low as it's been the rest of this week. No cake, but I just checked the bag my mom gave me and told me not to look inside until today, and there's cookies.
The actual party thing is tomorrow - I bought steak and potatoes and I'm going to ask my roommates to help me figure out how to grill. They're (probably jokingly) mad at me about it because I mentioned at the grocery store why I was buying such a big piece of cow carcass, but said it was because I wanted to have a nice dinner together before I'm away from campus all of next year (out of state internship, and then hopefully out of country studying), and didn't mention the birthday thing. Apparently people are supposed to tell each other when their birthdays are? I dunno, I'm not too good at these social things sometimes.

Yay fuin for getting approval and mare for levelling up!
I went on a date yesterday, my first in a reeeeeeeeally long time. It went rather well ;D We have loads in common and basically spent two hours talking about comics and books, ending with a smooch at the bus stop, because I'm dead classy like that.

Yay! Dates! They're...um...magical? mareofnight: If my memory of your age is correct, you should now be at the legal drinking age in the US. Sounds like that might be exciting. (Except I had wine before, and it seems like a very acquired taste)

clemon: Yes, that is correct. I had drinks for the first time this Sunday, over the internet with a friend in a different timezone (which meant drinking in the morning, and then getting a slight hangover that afternoon even though I'd only had two drinks' worth and hadn't taken a nap...). I had rum in lemonade, which was okay. I also tried rum in just water, but that didn't really work for me. Also, yay for friends and yay for dates

I finished my quarter and now I got 4 weeks free, and next quarter is looking like it could be fairly easy. Life's pretty good. At least until the school finally switches over to e-books and decides we all need iPads and I don't want an iPad. In the next 6 months there is so much potential for some seriously awesome tablets to come out that'll make iPads of today look like simple toys for simple people. I'd rather chose my own tablet.

Good job X'o'Lore! The switch might be worth it if it results in cheaper textbooks, no? And I can't be the only one who confuses drawing tablets with ..uh.. non-drawing tablets? mareofnight: An acquired taste, no doubt! Although rum in water...do the two mix? That sounds odd to me, as a rare drinker, but hey.
