I'm not the one to make decisions here. I'm not especially limited by the available themes as has been established, so someone else will have to speak up.

The lack of me here is me fiddling with the css on firefox and then scraping it be because my creations look awful.
I think, around the posts especially, we need to keep cool calm colours so peachy shades and lime greens don't do it for me, while the blue does. Surprisingly the Tomgeeks forums also had blue around the posts, so maybe if we use a colour scheme with light blue, but also striking greens...?

I like the palettes Elcz put? I don't know, I'm horrible at palette building I just... tweak stuff till it works. And I can't get a site to look well at all, so I don't mind any palette as long as it's readeable (I'd like to point out that the only thing about the current default palette that really bothers me is the admins' yellow names... They are kinda impossible to read).

Ok. So here are two I made using Elcy's #4 "Mauve/light green scheme", which was the scheme I liked the most. 1 <-- this one only uses scheme's colours 2 <-- grey + blue around post text comes from the old Tomgeeks forums. Let us know what you think.

Both look pretty good. #2 with a darker shade for the link text would be amazing. (Is just slightly hard to read, the way it is now.)

I agree with mare. Looks pretty great, but needs some more contrast on the links.

I like them both, though I'm inclined towards 1, because 2 is kinda serious. I like green stuff! Or yellow that looks green ! Also, yes, I agree on darker links for 2.

Personally, I'm not a fan of lots of light green (it reminds me of slime). Maybe if I liked limes more, I'd like the green stuff more. So my favourite of the two is the second one. : ) Soff: Don't you know that we're serious business here all the time!

I"m also not sure on the shade of the green.... that said I am probably going to stick with Pale test 1 so as far as I am concerned I"m happy.

I'm sticking with this tan/turquoise on whatever this shade of green is that I made from Elcz's #7. It feels a bit treeish. I'm using pale test 2 as a base for the better blended rollover colors for now.
