And yet he wasn't exactly overjoyed to see Keti in a towel. Damn but he entered into the Big Brother Zone for Keti quickly, didn't he? ^^;;

New page! uh ohes, changing rooms. My favourite bit of this page is (going to sound really wrong but...) giving the girls different body types. I get really annoyed with comics where every girl has the same body shape so making the Magical Girls all a bit different was really fun (hopefully now my art is so much better it shows) Shophie is supposed to be quite tall and Amazonian, Pashmina is underweight because she only eats crisps, Claire and Fructose are the youngest so they're more childlike and Sparkle is more rounded. I had massive fun making her a tiny bit squidgy- because she'd hate me for it.

It's the sign of a good artist when you can differentiate body types like that. CRfH had the problem that just about every character was a clone that only hair and face design could differentiate between, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. Heck, I remember one comic that half a year ago redesigned all of the characters to do just that: differentiate everyone. ^^;; It's slightly disconcerting seeing the sudden shift... but the comic was better off for doing it.

As I said in the chat board, if Steve had been honest I suspect Sparkle would have lumped him in the "instant loser" category and treated him lower than dirt. Heck, she'd probably have treated him worse than she does Jin. Though how much of the Jin/Sparkle hatefest is due to Sparkle, and how much Jin herself brought on remains to be seen; it is entirely possible that Sparkle just didn't care about Jin, but that Jin, seeing her brother being dragged away from her, started trying to break up Sparkle and Daniel and Sparkle responded seeing an Opponent in the way of The Way Things Must Be (ie, top MG and top Whacking students MUST be a couple).
In short... while Sparkle may be a bitch, Jin may very well have poisoned the well of her brother's relationship with Sparkle and started the collapse of dominoes that led to Keti's arrival and near-humiliation by Sparkle (very possibly initiated because Sparkle saw Keti being close to Jin and Daniel, and using Keti as the means of driving yet another blade into Jin's side; though to be honest, if Sparkle had just fostered a "friendship" of sorts she could have poisoned Keti to Jin's side. She went for the quick humiliation instead of the long-term mindscrew).

01_40 uploaded. For some reason this page looks a bit eye searingly bright to me. I'm guessing it's because the colours worn by the magical girls are kind of flashy next to the earth tones of the Fey we've been seeing in previous scenes. I got used to cherry's pink costume being the brightest thing in sight.

Heh. I suppose we've not seen this bunch in full color before, have we?
How long as Steve been in Faerie now? I'd halfway expect An to have showed up by now... unless Flibbage has to bail her out of jail, that is. =^-^= (That should be interesting... getting used to drawing An as a boy, that is. ^^;; Luckily you've some practice over in FL-Prime at the moment.)
They've WiFi in Faerie? Cool! =^-^=

The faeries have their own internet system, you have to modify human technology to use it (probably why Jin's phone doesn't work properly) -if you look carefully, in the scene of FL where Sparkle phones Dan, and at Cherry's laptop, you'll see they both have a butterfly symbol on them- thats the symbol of the Faerynet system "FlipFlapButterfly" as seen in IBYKS. IBYKS also contained in all its pun-ridden hilarity "apple computers" ~really made from apples and "e-snail" which was the fey equivalent of email and, you guessed it, brought to you by a small snail that lived in the apple.

The irony being that in the U.S. at least, we call the U.S. Postal Service (for mailing letters) "Snail Mail" - suggestive of how slow it is compared to the Internet. =^-^=

New page 01_41. In which we learn the futility of sticking your fingers in your ears and going 'lalala' when it comes to other people's business.

No, it's not futile. It means you avoid hearing what happens BEFORE the cute girl goes running into you in tears. ^^ Why do I have this odd feeling that Jin is going to try and convince Steve to help her prove Sparkle's a wretched person to Dan? oO

Wow. I honestly wasn't expecting that reaction. Thank you, Em and Ally! You're definitely keeping this reviewer on his toes concerning this storyline! =^-^=
Though I suppose this could be the trope (I forget the name) where two people's antipathy ends up turning to affection... =^-^= (I call it the Rick Hunter/Lisa Hayes Effect after the Robotech cartoons).

How long has Sparkle been at the dojo? oO
I'm curious as to if Dan knew she was dating the other chap... and how she managed to talk him into dating her if he did. (You're making Sparkle look like the village bicycle now! Hee! I almost expect to find a village with several pregnant men and a bunch of little blonde children with wands running around!) (If you draw that as a vote incentive I'll love you forever.)

Dan's currently been there 3 years. I think Sparkle has been at the dojo most of her life- There isn't much room on the mortal plane for a girl with Magical Powers, she said it herself on her profile page, she had very little choice.

Really? How odd. You'd think that Magical Girl Manifestation Syndrome would occur between the 12th and 16th year of life; at least, that's the norm among half the magical girls in anime. ^^;;
Sparkle the Dojo Bicycle. =^-^=

Well if she started showing power early, and had the kind of parents who had seen The Craft or The Omen they might try and sent her into a more socially acceptable career- much as one gets sent to ballet classes. Of course this is all conjecture, I don't really know how long Sparkle's been there either, ask Ally.
