Seeing that we now have a TV Tropes page for Footloose, I thought it might be a good idea to have a Forum topic post on it, so people can suggest entry modifications, new headings, and the like. You know, like "Crowning Moment of Awesome" and an explanation of why a specific scene deserves that acclaim or the like.

Well... Do you know what TVTropes is? The home page is here, and the Footloose page is here. BE WARNED! TVTropes has been known to result in a temporal anomaly, where hours and hours of your day will simply vanish as you look through the many pages and examples and click on links and go to more pages with more examples and more tropes and on and on and on... Do not attempt to surf TVTropes if you have any sort of schedule or appointment to keep in the near future. Mothers with children under the age of three should note that surfing TVTropes could lead to child neglect due to this phenomenon. Always call for backup before approaching TVTropes. Should you feel dizzy or ill at any time when surfing TVTropes check the time and date to make sure you have eaten within the last 24 hours. Certain terms and restrictions apply. Offer good for a limited time only. Void where prohibited.

And that's the short form of the warning. ^^;;

was that warning from the surgeon general? Not unless I've been promoted recently. That's my home-made warning. They have their own, called TV Tropes Will Ruin Your Life, but it focuses more on the fact that you start to see tropes in everything and they can interfere in your appreciation of a work. I haven't really noticed a problem with that, myself, so I focus on the issue of lost time instead. Again, BE WARNED. The warning page IS ITSELF a trope page, and it contains links that can drag you in to your doom.

Still, I'd rather be on TV tropes than wikipedia.

I'd rather be on both. =^-^=
(The funny thing is? I was. My reviews have been used as viable research content for endnotes in several Wikipedia webcomic articles. It's not nearly as good as having your own actual page, but hey. Of course, with the move from P2P to my own server, some of those endnotes were deleted...)

So... does anyone have a scene they'd recommend for a Crowning Moment of Awesome, Crowning Moment of Heartwarming, or other Crowning Moments that I could write up on the TV Tropes site? Or even just scenes that they think could qualify for some other TV Tropes listing?

There. I added some of those. I'm not quite sure if the whole "Faerie is a separate realm" needs its own trope heading, and I don't know if Sparkle was rich or not as it doesn't really matter in the story as a whole.
Also I added a couple Crowning Moments (Heartwarming and Awesome). ^^

well, after reading the 'rich bitch' trope, i got the impression that the character didn't necessarily have to actually be rich to fit the bill. it also mentioned high social standing, which she does think she rules the school/dojo.

While I didn't assign it to her, I do believe "The Libby" suits Sparkle.

I modified a couple of links to the comic that weren't working correctly. The links under Our Fairies are different and Our Werewolves are Different had an extra slash on the end of them, which for some reason resulted in the image on the linked page not loading. Removing the slash fixed the problem.

I would say sparkle probably is rich. she's definately used to being treated like a princess.
