I suppose the sound of several imaginary kittens purring loudly also drowns him out. ^^

don't worry lu, he wouldn't get far before curiousity would drive him to taser himself to see what it's like.

Been back on a big Eighties Power Chord Fix as of late...
It's a curious mood to be in. I could probably quite happily listen to 'Danger Zone' all day - and that can't be healthy.

I have been mostly listening to mashups this month.

Well, even before the power chord fixation, I was skimming around the 1975-1985 area anyway.
Other recent acquisitions include John Miles' 'Music' from 1976, Michael Jackson's 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'' from 1982 (since for some reason I've tended to add to my Michael Jackson tracklist piecemeal rather than in any organised manner), Michael Sembello's 'Maniac' (another theft from a movie soundtrack...), Yazoo's 'Don't Go', another from 1982, and so on.
On a more contemporary note (and yet at the same time, really, really not), 'Pencil Full of Lead' by Paolo Nutini is an awesomely happy jazzfest that could have fallen straight out of the 1920s USA. As opposed to the 2009 Scottish guy it actually comes from.
