Trains, tube, and buses are suspended across London, so I officially have no way of getting into work today... Though I can work remotely from my computer at home, which is a good thing really since I have deadlines to meet. Certainly 7:15am is the earliest I've ever 'started work' before!
Snow's nice though. It's really, really harsh on Yasha, since she's going to have to still go to work since John Lewis is within walking distance for her. I somehow doubt she'll be getting many customers today, though.
6 inches of snow, and counting...

*caper caper*!
I left Coventry at about 8.50 this morning it was all easy peasy up there, yet as soon as I entered the 'south' it started snowing in earnest, and now I am holed up in my house all toasty, and trying to persuade ally to come home from work before she gets stuck in oxford so we can go out and play!

Yeah, but this is the UK so everything stops with 1/6 of that. And I swear to God, earlier this evening I saw a representative of Transport For London on television using the excuse of "yes we knew it was coming but this sort of thing doesn't happen very often so we didn't even bother to try".
Okay, maybe not in those words.
£1 billion lost from the economy today. Up to £4 billion total over the coming week. Mmmm.

Hot. It takes at least two feet at one time to shut down chicago. Thing more shut down for extreme cold this winter than for snow.

I true boy style, not only did most of my housemates not bother going to Uni because of the snow(bear in mind its only 10 minutes walk and all roads were gritted) but they made a snow Penis in the garden then proceeded to break a window in a snow ball fight. *sigh*

No extra snow here today, only rain. Because of course, the ice wasn't slippery enough already.

How do you sledge up a hill? That's impressive I saw the pics, it did look fun...I am officially fed up with the snow now, though - the buses crapped out on me, so I had to walk to and from work (getting very wet feet) and then get my dad to pick me up in the afternoon. Stu, on the other hand, just wimped out and stayed at home

today every single muscle hurts... which is what happens when people who usuallysit at a drawing table all day start taking matters into their own hands
