I wasn't even talking about height any more, I was just playing up to the joke that the Gherkin looks like a giant vibrator.

See now, I lived in London till I was 3. Then in a village on the outskirts of Slough (a bizarre hybrid) till I was 7. Then in a proper countryside village in South Bucks till I was 12. Then in Milton Keynes (and significant time spent in places like Buckingham) till I was 18. Then mai ???nly London again for the past 3 years. I'm, like, ultimately adaptable between city and countryside, me. Ditto, but 2 years younger. (Besides living in Amazingstoke 16-18, and now hanging out in Brighton until the age of 21.) P.S. - Greenford is in London?? Hrmm... learn something new.

It's Zone...4? I think. Certainly London though.
And if you ever utter the word 'Amazingstoke' ever, ever again I shall stab you.

I was hoping that maybe "Amazingstoke" was sarcastic, but seeing as tim seems to have taken it seriously I shall have to go bang my concussed head against a wall.

The closest I've ever been to visiting Basingstoke is sitting on the train while it's at Basingstoke station - but the fact that the station advertises the town as "Basingstoke - Home of Allied Insurance" tells me all I need to know...

Feigning enthusiasm for this dire town is but one of my many provokations.
