A thread for us to pick apart our subconsciouses and shudder at the results...
So, I keep dreaming about being shot in the back of the head. It never particularly bothers me, I just end up feeling pretty pissed off. The first time, I was wandering around a hospital with my hands clamped over the back of my head, shouting at the staff when they told me I'd have to sit and wait for a couple of hours. This time, I ended up lying on the floor thinking "Shit, I'm dying...I'm dying...no, I'm feeling better...I'm OK..."
Anyone got any theories on what the fuck this means?

See, if I were the type of person to read into this kind of stuff at all, I would possibly throw something in along the lines of 'betrayal', due to the wound being in the back of the head...but I'm not, so it wouldn't really mean much if I did.

see, now if you'd just been shot in the head, i'd say it was avariation on the same dreams you always have, betrayal, desertion et c. but seeing as it actually seems to not btoher you hugely in the dream, maybe not.

Well, it's not *always* betrayal and desertion...I also dream about going hunting in a shopping mall with the cast of Friends. ;D

I had a dream where I liberated three ferrets into a shopping centre once...they promptly ran into a nearby Tesco and successfully claimed asylum.
It's pretty much the only dream I've ever remembered for more than 10 minutes after I've woken up. No doubt because it was so bloody ludicrous.

The first time, I was wandering around a hospital with my hands clamped over the back of my head, shouting at the staff when they told me I'd have to sit and wait for a couple of hours. Lack of faith in the NHS? Thinking about the fact that you've just had contact with the NHS with your mini-operation thing, then perhaps you feeled they've failed you or not treated you well (not removing your stitches unless you go to MK hospital, wanting to give you steroids, etc.), so your subconscious is now wondering what would happen if you had a larger medical problem for them to deal with. *For a fuller explanation ring this number: 555-0000 (calls cost $10 a minute, but $15 for the 1st minute)* Seriously though, do you know who is shooting you?

That's so weird, I was just thinking about that! I don't have a clue, and I'd never really thought about it. In the dream, it didn't even occur to me to wonder.

Two theories for ya allykins:
1. 'To dream that someone is shooting you with a gun, suggests that you are experiencing some confrontation in your waking life. You may feel victimized in some situation' 2. 'To dream that you are shot, represents a form of self-punishment that you may be unconsciously imposing on yourself. You may have done something that you are not proud of'

I think it ties in with my 'failed by the NHS' theory still

nah... just like, hanging out.
although last night, I dreamed I took a whole load of pro plus so i could stay up late and finish my project. But then i was like, "wait, i'm asleep, thats totally not the point of proplus! And I'm dreaming about proplus, which is even worse..." the weirdest bit was That I completely knew I was asleep and dreaming, and just thought it was really dumb...

I hardly ever remember my dreams, so only the really weird ones stick in my mind - like the one where i was being chased around the whole of buckingham by the police, got caught, then escaped with the aid of a mysterious criminal mastermind in a helicopter
