If im gay its migth easily be some kinda twisted revenge on the parents for abandoning me in my hour of need to prance around the other side of the world for a month. Or maybe its my genes. Or maybe its because women are just so dreamy where as men smell funny

Really, dont bother. its soo much effort and if the sugar is like a degree off the correct temperature it goes into goo. Make mashmallows! they require little effort, no fancy ingredients and you can make them into anything! we made snowballs (covered them in choc and coconut) covered them in sprinkles, filled up icecream cones with them, decorate your friends with the extremly adhesive goo before it sets . its the best hour i've had in a long time

Mashmallows - Serves squillions (so feel free to half or quarter the recipe, unless you plan to eat marshmallows for the rest of your natural life) 75g Powdered gelatine -sold in supermarkets so dont worry 230g hot tap water (1st quantity) 750g castor sugar 230g water (second quantity) 3-4 drops of vannilla essence 1. Soak gelatine in 1st quantity water for 10-15 mins 2.dissolve sugar and second quantity of water and bring to the boil. 3. Once boiling, pour this syrup onto the gelatine and whisk on a high speed setting to soft peaks (do not attempt to do this by hand, it takes a while in the mixer so by hand you'd be at it all day) 4. Pipe into desired shapes on to a tray lined with greaseproof paper and dusted with 1part cournflour 2parts icing sugar (you can use just one ingredient if you dont have both, this is just the tastiest way) Enjoy

Your basic average white sugar - not as coarse as the kind you put in your tea, but not as fine as icing sugar.
