Well, Mari started doing it in 2003, back before broadband was the primary internet for half of the U.S. - going through 350+ comics during an archive crawl on dial-up sucked. ^^;; I'm not sure if she's even doing it nowadays or if she makes any money doing it, especially as she's dialed back to a MWF schedule unless she can get a thousand in donations to do the comic M-F for a month. (Yeah. I'm not exactly sure 8 updates extra is worth $1,000 either.)
Of course, she also added exclusive content to the CDs (something like five or so extra pages to "fill out" the story or to run a new short story depending on her whims) so there was some reason to buy them.

... $1000 a month doesn't seem like a lot, but when you put it in terms of 8 pages, it's a lot.

I was wrong, also. It was $1,500 a month.

by my reckoning thats around £120 per extra page- a not unreasonable rate for professional artwork... I would expect that of a full colour full page online comic... but a three panel comic (that I wouldn't like to critically analyse because of glass houses...stones etc ) I'm sorry but if I was a client I'd want more for my money.

To be honest, her comics range from the 3-panel strips to half-page comics to occasional full page strips. But yeah. For $1,500 I would want 7x a week updates. I mean, Namir Deiter updates 7x a week for half that! =^-^= (But then again, that's also for a month's donations, while CRfH works off of a gradual buildup in donations.)

Alas, poor Keti. Perhaps discovering that she's being watched through an invisible wall by Heaven knows how many people was a bit much for her to handle. She may need to be rebooted.
Now, will she remember this when she wakes up? Mortal minds have shown a remarkable inability to hold on to information about generics. I wouldn't be surprised if she were to forget about it entirely. Of course, I'm also expecting were-Keti to take over after this bout of unconsciousness.

You know, wanderer, that idea didn't dawn on me. Then again, I was figuring that the next mindscape would have Kaeti and Cutie trying to talk down Keti's human half... ^^;;

the wall, it's everywhere! she's all boxed in! yeah... that would probably make me freak out a little too. especially if i didn't check that the previous walls were disappearing. (which i assume it is, considering the comic was being shown from a different point of view each panel.)
