I just so happened to relocate the disc with it on yesterday, so you can thieve it on the weekend. Do you know exactly what you're doing/whether you'll come down on the Saturday or just the Sunday yet?
Ally, FMA is of course infinitely recommendable if you can thieve that from Em. As for Code Geass, I'm sure I must have described it before, but I'll copy and paste the synopsis I posted somewhere else anyway...
It's been 7 (?) years since Japan was conquered by the Brittanian Empire and renamed 'Area 11'. Lelouch, a Brittanian student living in Japan, is essentially a bored rich kid who spends his free time trouncing nobles at chess. He hates the Brittanian Empire after his mother was killed and his sister left blind/disabled. After getting caught up in a terrorist incident, he meets a girl named CC who offers him the power to fulfill his dreams - revenge on Brittannia! He obtains Geass: the power to give anyone a direct order which they will obey without question. With more than a slight meglomaniacal streak, his path to Evil/insanity begins...
So not "light and funny", but awesome nonetheless.

Alright, allow me to make an amendment:
Damn you people with your friends and your social lives and your complete impracticality when it comes to suggesting solutions.

Tim, what were the houses at RLS called? I can only remember Denton, Barton and Verney.

Stratton, Newton, and Ruding (was that how it was spelt?) were the others.

AND grenville ,lol ... the extra house...
Its not an impractical solution... Kingston is just as rubbish if not more rubbish than MK... just because someone finally gave you a job doesn't mean there aren't any jobs here...

Grenville doesn't count. It's a ghost of a house. >_>
And you'll forgive me for not necessarily wanting to gamble the first steady job I've ever had, where my pay has increased by 10% within the first 9 months of starting work and will have increased by 20% by this time next year.
There are other matters of practicality when it comes to moving to MK, such as the fact that neither Yasha nor I can drive/have a car, thus drastically limiting the number of places to live in the area where we can realistically get to our respective workplaces/get shopping/etc. without great difficulty. Not to mention the whole problem of timing involved with moving house to a completely different part of the country - namely finding a decent job that can be certified at least two months in advance in order to give sufficient notice for leaving our current flat, and so on. Plus if I did try to find a new job, what do I have on my CV? About 1 year's office experience? Even all the ultra-crappy office jobs you see advertised on boards outside high street job agencies list "minimum 2 years' office experience".

Reviving this thread to challenge Tim with science!
I was at work today, and I was taking the saucers out of the dishwasher, and realised that the tiny little espresso saucers are always much hotter than the others. Yet they're made out of the same stuff, and are washed at the same temperature. Explain?

I dunno, it'll be something about conduction. Are they thinner? Maybe it's a surface area/mass thing.

They probably are a little thinner, not so much that you'd really notice...

There's less mass to them, so they warm up quicker. Conversely they also cool off quicker, so you can later touch them and they'll be cold while the other plates will still have a trace of warmth to them.

Next time I'm there, I'm gonna set an espresso saucer, a normal saucer and a large saucer aside and see how quickly they cool down...
Alternatively, I could just do my job. But where's the fun in that?
