Frumpy the Clown ended cos it gave the poor guy a nervous breakdown...which was a shame, because it was REALLY good.

My mentioning of C&H was in response to Ally's post. I don't know enough webcomics to respond to yours. :-p
Although "Nana's Everyday Life" did end...because she died alone and shivering in a cardboard box. >_>

The guy who did Frumpy put the entire collection on his website so people could read it without having to buy the books...I know that doesn't make it a webcomic, but I still think it was pretty cool of him.

There's a line between 'cool' and 'financially inane' and I think he crossed that.

Hey, if he was in it for the money, he'd be an investment banker, not a comic book artist.

Or you could go on a killing spree and draw a comic in your victims' blood. You'd make a fortune.

So... where do you think Yuki brought Mr. Zilla-san? =^-^= You have to love the fact the frakking MECHA has its "hands" up to its "face" in an "oh noes!" expression. Hee! I seriously suspect Fred absolutely enjoyed some of these latest panels. ^^ And I think the comic will actually end. I'm betting on another three chapters after this one. That would give Fred time to deal with a few more plot-points and then wrap up stuff nicely. I'm probably wrong, but hey. I never admitted to being correct all the time. ^^

To be fair, he's put out about 6 or 7 books' worth so far (although only 5 have been published) - how much do manga series achieve in an equivalent amount of time?
(And I ask this to Emily in particular, reader of Rumiko Takahashi series that she is :-p)

He's put out ten "chapters" which have been combined into five books. The sixth book is almost half done, depending on how much longer this current chapter runs (it's already run long and I've no real idea where it'll end). The next book probably won't be out for another year.
Considering some mangas run only five books... he's doing decently. And hey, we get 2-3 pages a week, which makes the wait between books easier. ^^;; At least easier than waiting a year+ per book....

If Fred has actually just killed off Miho, I am not going to be at all pleased.

I don't know, the ability to kill a character that everyone likes is a brave move...
and I was getting a bit sick of her neverending fuckwitery...
