You'll have to webcam record it so you can share its (edited) awesomeness with your fanbase. ^_^ (Though I must admit, I'd still so love to see the Tagboard conversation we had show up... ah well, maybe you'll be able to slip it in somewhere.)

On a side-note: They need to ditch the digital alarm clocks teetering off the edge of the nightstand and go back to the old fashion mechanical clocks that ring at the appropriate time and must be stopped by smashing them. Possibly with a hammer. Then when your back is turned they are suddenly back on the nightstand undamaged like nothing ever happened.

I did think about bringing back the IBYKS version of digital technology which is a snail that yells at you, but it would have been cruel to squish it. Plus I reckon humans bring a load of mortal realm technology with them to Faerie, so the faeries just hook it up to the ether for them with magic.

Now I have a mental image of one of my characters who tends to travel through space and time opening a small portal to a power outlet and plugging his stuff into it while relaxing. =^-^=

13_02.. I love it when people have failed to notice random things like "whoaaaa... has keti aways had a mole on her cheek and pointy ears?" or "wait, An is Green!?"
cracks me up every time XD

Um... the An is green? was a legitimate question when you consider the comic is done in greyscale with occasional spot color. Now, the mole is more amusing I must admit... I never questioned it did I? *ponders* (I consider it an homage to Marilyn Monroe, who had a mole and who was quite classy and beautiful.) And yes, it might be "extra work" but you know what, Em? It helps give Keti's face character and charm, and helps her stand out.

she is on the colour covers of chapter 3 and 5 and 7 and 8 plus she's a faerie. Only goes to show if you don't bother colouring a person's skin everyone just assumes they're pink. Boooooooring.

Or Asian. I just figured "pale skin" and didn't think "pale green skin" *shrugs*
I also tend to skim past the cover art to get at the juicy delicious story hidden within. =^-^=

The key is to do a comic in grayscale, but then you do a color drawing only to discover their skin is still gray. Bonus points if their hair, clothes and even eyes are also still gray.

and everything else is grey too! hahaha! >:]
13_03 trying to get this intro off the ground, feels like it's moving a little slowly for me.

That's because of the previous update, which probably could have been condensed into a couple smaller panels and included in much of today's update. I understand why you did it that way, but it did cause the pacing to initially start slow as a result.

Funny you should talk about pacing, because I've been thinking about Footloose as an excellent example of how different mediums require different pacing. Seeing Footloose in print, I realized that it goes at a breakneck pace that feels really weird to read through. However, when you read it online, you have a week long break between each page, which means what is paced fast when you can just read it in a book works fine. The week between updates provides the beats between the moments needed to properly absorb the information.
Just thought this was interesting.

I think the same... transferring from one medium to another is difficult. What I'm going for here, is a slow reintroduction to day-to-day life in the Dojo, focusing on Keti and her inner monologue (which is a call back to her introduction in chapter 1) unfortunately, this style of pacing is better suited to print- and comes across as very slow. As for the previous page, yeah I could have condensed it down, but I wanted each page to introduce something different. Page 1 reminds us where we are (the Dojo, Faerie, home of kung shoe and strange radio presenters), Page 2 reminds us who our protagonist is and we get a close up shot of her face and a full body shot to remind us what she looks like, how she dresses, what's changed, then from page 3 onwards we start refamiliarising ourselves with her relationship to her classmates and friends, and how she's feeling right now. I'm setting the scene here, something I wish I'd had more time to do back in chapter 1- it's just I wish I could do an update every day instead of once or twice a week.

Oh, I understand. And it depends on the medium used as Mr. Picalini mentioned. In print this would work just fine. Online it feels more slow. And to be honest, Page 1 works quite nicely (and not just because of Tangent's Tangents ^^) for presenting the setting. Page 2 is cinematic. But cinematic is difficult to do with non-daily updates, and even then sometimes has issues.

You could do daily updates, if you really wanted to, but then you'd have little time for anything else. While I would love daily updates, I do understand that, just because I don't, that doesn't mean that other people have nothing else to do with their lives.
