So, Em, could you explain to me the logic about magical boys tearing dresses in battle? =^-^=
I must admit it would be amusing to see some of the other girls' magical compatriots. Sparkle probably has a magical weasel. =^-^=

What's there to say? Cherry might be like friggin' Kirk. It's not a fight until his shirt gets torn. Except his shirt may happen to be a dress.

maybe they don't have any... maybe it's part of the whole thing about being unwanted... or MAYBE its the shiniest, prettiest nicest unicorn pegasus and it's deeply disappointed in her...

No doubt a lot of those girls have deeply disappointed magical compatriots.
Damn. Now I want to see a picture of the lot of them (compatriots) in a bar getting drunk together because of how disappointed they are at their charges. =^-^=

the next 3 weeks is group pictures- so we get all the secondary characters in there too you don't really get to hear much about these guys, but the UM class are actually kind of awesome in their own right. You could make a sitcom about them, it would be like the big bang theory only with less cliches and more humongous robots.

I think I'd like it better than Big Bang Theory. I'm tired of that show just hearing about it from my family. They compared the characters in that show to me and my friends. Apparently nerds are funny now.
Now if you excuse me there was a big cpu launch today and I got some reviews to analyze.

Yeah. They compare me to characters on that show as well. I point out that it's not a valid comparison as I'm a much bigger loser than whatever the dysfunctional chap it is they compare me to. =^-^=
It would be cool to see a short comic storyline with the Mecha crew. Heck, it could even be the story of how Robert got tossed out. (Hmm, so we will now have a Mecha villain named Robert in the series? Heh heh heh)

I can't be the only one who cringes a little when mainstream media tries to show bits and pieces of geek culture. Because we need old people puzzling over internet memes taken completely out of context, yes?

There's something about it that really irks me... can't really put my finger on it, but I feel like it's more about what society *thinks* geeky people are like than what they're actually like. then there's the girls- like you can be a) socially maladjusted or b) not a geek... and any kind of crossover involves some kind of makeover. I can talk about anime and geek out over stuff, but I can also talk about shoes and put on my own mascara and go clubbing- tv does not believe this is possible.

It's because geeks are not interesting enough to actually be viable television fodder. So they have to ramp it up to 11 and make them parodies. For that matter, neither are jocks or most business people. Everything you see on television is a parody of what they actually are. But it's not meant as a parody, which is the sad thing. It's because American TV thinks people won't accept reality and so create this vast mythology that denies what people really are... and what they want.

Page 8 Magical Girls, Transform! ( you may have noticed that the titles of my group pictures have double meanings) Every school has that group of people... each one on their own is actually kind of bearable, but with with their ringleader running the show they become completely evil. So now we see a magical team reassessing the kind of magical girls they want to be...

Sure, but you also have now made an association between the magical girls and the Autobots in my head. All I'm thinking is "Magical Girls, Transform and move out!" I should probably hate you forever for this.
Otherwise yes, I see the double meanings. This one is subtle though.

Although if the MG's could turn into totally sweet cars, that might be kinda awesome. And now I'm sure someone will think about what sort of cars they'd be which should get me off the hook since I'm not a car guy and don't really know.

It is interesting to see that Sparkle's presence in the Magical School class was bringing out the negative aspects of those girls. I have to wonder if the girls themselves may be realizing this... and what may happen when Sparkle does return. Will she find herself ostracized by her own teammates and unable to regain control over the class? That would be delightfully interesting to watch. =^-^=

Yes, it would. You should have done that. =^-^= (Of course, you could have shown him getting his arse kicked by Beansprout...)
I still want to see Claudia's story next. Once we're done with Steve, that is. =^-^=
