I've never found Emily to be mean. Beautiful, talented, and brilliant, but not mean. (Which is why she works so well with Ally - they complement each other nicely.)

At which point I'd probably shrug and say "Fair cop. I deserved that." ^^

As usual, I reiterate my lack of fear in regards to Emily's wrath. Possibly because I could draw on my own obnoxion (not a word, but one I find compellingly weird enough to prefer over the more cumbersome 'obnoxiousness') to fight her obnoxion if need be. Being better at avoiding it than Stuart also helps.

I'm not mean to Tim because he always wins. And he dupes me into a false sense of security then kicks my ass at boardgames.

Being mean, like any important skill, requires frequent practice in order to maintain a competitive edge. Luckily I have Yash around as fodder.

I must admit, last week's shenanigans represent a new high in sadistic cruelty against Yash. highly amusing for me and stu though.

it is important to be able to trust the people who are supposed to be teaching you to play a game.

Em took my "Don't trust people in Diplomacy because the entire point of the game is screwing people over" lesson far too personally.

There was also the Citadels incident...
"So if you chose to be, say, the Bishop in this round, you could do this..." (a moment later) "I'm the Assassin, and I chose to kill the Bishop!"
