You do realise that the only thing fangirls are good for is to infuriate by perpertually poking fun at their object of fandom. Ask Em.

(tim is a fangirl) but yes, also their screaming and flailing is funny, although I have been known to jump up and down making squeaky noises myself...

Not as often as some. It has to be said that I can refrain from flailing where company and situation require it. Also, I know when something has gone beyond excitement and has become annoyying to others.

I'm not allowed to explain the details as I have been forbidden from my gossiping tendencies...

Gossip makes the world go round.

it isnt gossip its the mobilization of information

Which is DEFINITELY what makes the world go round. If I was an evil villain bent on destroying the world, I wouldn't bother with nuclear or biological weapons, I'd just find some way to take out the Internet. Voila! Everyone's fucked.

I fail to see the logic.

Imagine what it would do to businesses, the government, and people (in the rich world) in general if the Internet suddenly disappeared.
The Third World would be OK, mostly. But I wouldn't want to destroy them anyway, they have a bad enough time of it as it is.

Yes, by god, you'd be setting the business world's telecommunications back by...10, maybe 15 years.
There's a massive margin between severe inconvenience and 'destruction'.

yes, but shes got a point, we're so utterly dependent on them, that if you took out the internet and phones, probably half of the western world, would starve/catch/fire/riot themselves into destruction before it got sorted out.

So the phone network is included as well now, is it? The specific difference between removing late-20th century and mid-19th century technology is a fairly broad margin of error to be citing.

well the internet is phone technology isn't it? I think we could probably get by without internet, but take out the phones and we lose all instantaeneous communication.
