I'll probably end up getting the X5 over anyway. It's simple enough and keeps me from dragging an annoying round car trip out of anyone. Is it okay if I just randomly turn up at your front door some time in the afternoon?

Weddings are the cutest things ever. Or at least this one was. I just got back from seeing my cousin get married, and various events surrounding that. My cousin and her husband kept smiling at each other and giving each other these looks the whole time and it was just adorable.
I also ordered a drink at a bar for the first time, wore nail polish for the first time since I was a kid, and actually danced and wasn't completely horrible at it.

What does a head bridesmaid do in...that place in which you are located? mareofnight: The whole smiling couple and genuinely enjoying each other's company is something I enjoy at weddings. It's also the highlight of many wedding-related shows I sometimes watch when nothing else is on.

I... can't really stand weddings. Happy couples are cute, I actually find my very in love friends to be really sweet but... the party. UGH. Last year I had the wedding of my closest childhood friend and I really got bored to death. I can't dance and I don't drink (I also didn't bring my sketchbook because it seemed way too antisocial). Parties bore me deeply.

Agreed Soff, I don't like parties, I usually sit in a corner clutching my orange juice all night.
Wedding ceremonies can drag on a bit. I was at my aunt's wedding a couple of weeks ago and they had a very basic ceremony that took about thirty minutes. Compare that to my dad's wedding a few years ago. Two hours. And I couldn't even hear them because the priest didn't have a microphone or anything, so I just sat there for two hours.

Well, it appears I'm not alone in the don't dance/drink section where I pretty much find myself sitting around bored at big fancy parties. Then if it's an extra fancy affair they usually have food the I'm not fond of on top of that.

I think wedding enjoyment depends on what kind of party it is! for example hotel ballroom with dj playing "classics" like Macarena all night... not reaaaaaaaallly my fave thing ever but I've been to barndance weddings, sri lankan weddings, kareoke weddings, bouncy castle weddings, and had loads of fun! This wedding is in a forest and we get to run around in the trees all night and have a pig roast! AWESOME! also friends weddings are always way more fun than family ones, because you know more people weirdly... and a head bridesmaid has v important jobs like being an official witness to the wedding, being moral support, and making sure the bride gets there, but she's also supposed to hold all the bride's stuff for her, help arrange and run errands, be liason between the bridal party and the groomsmen on the day (because the bride and groom can't see each other) arrange hen parties... and in this case make a bajillion harry potter-style wands and a bunch of signage. she is basically the person who is supposed to be chilled out and make sure the wedding goes according to plan
