In a similar sense, someone gave me a link to www.keepitsweet.co.uk earlier today. I have since had to call upon all my will power to keep myself from taking a £20 splurge on sweets. >_<

Oh my God...flying saucers! The old Drumsticks that were a decent size! Those weird peanut sweets! And purple chocolate coins?! Awesome! (Okay, I know the chocolate isn't purple, but the foil is, and I am easily pleased) EDIT: Eeeeee! I had one of these when I was little and I loved it so much! www.keepitsweet.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/67/products_id/804FURTHER EDIT: I am so tempted to get Stu a giant bag of the chocolate Euros for his birthday. "I hate myself...but they're too delicious!"

Tim, in Ouran High School Host Club (the original Japanese, of course), are the Hitachin brothers voiced by the same voice actor? 'Cos I think it would be more interesting if they weren't...

They're not.
Hikaru is voiced by Kenichi Suzumura.
Kaoru is voiced by Yoshinori Fujita.

wow Tim. truly you are wise and great...
BY THE WAY did you know you can get the whole first half of the series for £15 on DVD? That's even better value for money than the Fruits Basket box set was! FUNimation we salute you, and your realistic concept of value for money! Bringing us mountainloads of Bishi boys at a low low cost!
(as opposed to stupid Inu-Yasha... "over 150 episodes? let's put 3 on each dvd and sell it for £20, muhahahaha")

Another one...
Tim, is there a collective noun for a group of cats? And if not, are they the only animals that don't have a collective noun?

A clowder of cats is the most common.
Others include a cludder, a clutter, a cluster, a kendle, or a kindle of cats.
As usual, these sort of words were generally invented and/or applied during the late 18th or early 19th century, when the concept of a truly formalised and consistent language was relatively new and they were clearly going a bit off-kilter with it all.

I like kindle best. Clowder sounds like heavy dumplings.

I think that with cats, you can get away with a lot of words so long as they're alliteration.

A conundrum of cats...a cahoot of cats...a condescension of cats (that one suits them, or at least all the cats that aren't Mouse)

I don't know, after the series of laps out the window through the garden, back into the house and out the window again that he and zac were doing when we were watching TV, and Zac's new inhaler (they decided Zac has asthma BTW, not leukemia or AIDS, and he has a cute inhaler for babies!!!) he and mouse are strong contenders for Dumber and Dumberer.
They yoinked Fishy out of the pond yesterday, but did they kill or eat him? no... they pushed him round the patio a bit and then ran off, leaving me to find him, assume him to be dead and nearly put him in the bin before he started flopping about. Miraculously I put him back in the water and after about 5 mins he was fine! he must of been out of there for enough time to kill a normal fish if the cats got bored and *then* I found him, some kind of super fish!

They were so cute when they were doing laps. I was reminded of Pooh and Piglet when they're walking round and round the tree, convinced the Heffalumps and Woozles are just out of sight.
Mouse could be Pooh, Zac could be Piglet. It fits their shapes and temperaments fairly well...

Zac: *huff wheeze* wait for me, Mouse!

Tim - why is it when you lie down in the sun for a while with your eyes shut, and then open your eyes, everything has a blue cast?
(I tried to find out the answer from Cathryn's Tom, thinking his physics brain would know, but no luck)

I'm not even sure what it is you're talking about, so I merely shrug at you. >_>
