I decided to join and create this thread at Tangent's advice. Basically, I'm in an RP that has a comedy and structure similar to Footloose, especially at the point in time and location most of the action is at at the time of this post, and thought that if anyone was interested or wanted to talk about their own RPs that they're in they could post here.

In any case, right now my character has achieved his first Moment of Epic, and the story has possibly gained its Crowning Moment of Anticlimax as the Water Emperor lost the pendant that was holding a power player in his grasp because my character shot his hand (he has the Gun Adept skill, so it's explainable) in addition to losing the Water of Muse (think of it as the Artifact of Great Power or whatever that trope is called) earlier from another character talking to it and convincing it to change sides.

It's a slow moving one that you can play leisurely for, like, 3-4 posts per day. I joined in late October and it's now December and my character is only level 15 (30 is max). And I have to take back about the Crowning Moment of Anticlimax as the villain has just had a mental breakdown from everyone's combined charisma. Now it's the Crowning Moment of Anticlimax. And then in come the monsters.

Normally, I wouldn't put how battles go in describing, but this is a potential Crowning Moment of Epic for a (technically) NPC. Basically, Tensard had the character he'd acquired, Handy Handleton (a hand of darkness, literally), possess one of the Gnome Gladiators and have it attack a gnome with the passive skill Super Break Wind. Long story short, the chain reaction caused all the low level enemies to be wiped out, all the remaining enemies to be exposed, and two of the three big bosses to be both poisoned and stunned ON TOP OF having half their health taken out. And all but two of the good guys are still standing, so we've pretty much been handed victory on a silver platter thanks to a very chaotic hand thing.

Slow posts are actually one of the attractive things about the RP I'm in. You can make sure your character acts the way he/she is supposed to act. And you can get by with as little as 3-4 posts per day. What do you all like in an RP?

I don't know, when i used to rp, I always liked stories where everyone had a part to play- not just one or two people hogging the limelight.

That's... actually a big part of Muse Gate RP. How the authors of FanFyria and FanFyria Journeys have enough time to also be the GMs of Muse Gate is a mystery to me. It's actually set in FanFyria. It was originally supposed to be the canon adventures between FanFyria 2 and FanFyria 3 (they were originally games made on RPGMaker XP), but then it just kept going and basically mutated into an alternate reality setting. Or so I was told. By the GMs.
And that gives me an idea: How about an RP set in the IBYKSverse/Footloose universe?

Actually, I was throwing that out to anyone who wanted to try it; I've got my hands relatively full with the one I'm already in AND I'm planning on majoring in engineering now. Which means I'll have to learn to take 5 classes a semester.

during a current rp i'm in it usually involves people diving on me to stop me doing something that would bring about an inevitable Zombpocalypse. and ofc cornering the "good" people i'm team'd with into performing thoeretical evil acts whilst informing them gleefully of the fact.

Oddly enough, the RP I'm in is basically that, just the GMs keep adding new Arcs 1 week after the previous one ends. We'll soon be on Arc 4. In a week. And it took us a full month from start to finish this time.

Umm... The RP I'm in is about to have another Arc on the 11th. It seems like it's going to be the world's equivalent of Japan's Feudal Era Wars, or whatever it's called, because the GMs specifically said they were bringing back the war system that was present in the first Arc. The only thing I'm upset about is that they made one of the most awesome characters I've ever seen- a kind, gentle bard with a love for music and happiness, with a tendency to have comical misunderstandings due to his naivete- a little bit more bloodthirsty. Or at least less hesitant about shoving an axe into some guy's skull.

Change of plans: I'm too late to register for classes. Looks like I've got until June for free time. So... should we make a different topic to discuss the possibility of an RP for the IBYKSverse? I'd first have to get enough people interested. If there aren't at least 5 people interested then it's a no go.

if you like- you can run it in this forum too. Me and Ally decided we wouldn't take part- we'd have an unfair advantage because of knowing the universe inside and out, and our author characters (Red and Cabbage) are way too powerful- they'd ruin the RP because they basically do what they want. we're on hand for advice on in-world characters or generic laws though -_^
